A 46-year-old Lawrence man who family members reported missing to police last weekend was found Wednesday evening near Ottawa, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers located Robbin Jessup, 46, in a barn at a friend’s property. His mother, Georgia Jessup, said he was there by himself. He was not injured, and family members have brought Jessup back to Lawrence.

Family members had filed a report with Lawrence police Saturday after they had last seen him Friday night at his sister’s home in Topeka.

The family was concerned because Jessup has a mental disability, and he was without his medication. His cell phone battery had also died, his mother said.

A family friend, Faye Welcher, said Jessup became confused about which day he was supposed to work on the friend’s farm in Franklin County.
