A 30-year-old Lawrence woman reported to police that a 23-year-old Lawrence man violated a court order, battered her and raped her on July 23 between 12:48 a.m. and 3 a.m. at a residence in northwestern Lawrence.

Police spokeswoman Kim Murphree said officers forwarded information in the case to the Douglas County District Attorney’s office on Tuesday.

She said prosecutors would make a decision about whether to file charges and issue an arrest warrant in the case.
