The aging of Douglas County’s population will be the topic of discussion at a community meeting.
According to the Douglas County Coalition on Aging, population projections for residents older than age 55 in Douglas County already have surpassed state population projections through 2020.
The Coalition on Aging is sponsoring the meeting to seek input from residents and professionals about transportation, housing and public safety issues.
The meeting will be from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 15 at the Community Health Facility, 200 Maine. Participants will examine information and draw conclusions to direct future actions of the coalition. Transportation is available by calling 865-6925.
For more information about the forum, call 842-0543.
