California ? The family of a woman who gave birth to octuplets this week in Southern California says she has six other young children at home.

Angela Suleman, the woman’s mother, told The Los Angeles Times on Thursday that her daughter took fertility treatment but did not expect to give birth to eight children.

The children’s grandfather told The Associated Press the babies are doing well but he hasn’t learned their names.
