Recycle at the supermarket

Editor’s note: Today’s letters to the editor are from Southwest Junior High students learning about persuasive writing.

To the editor:

You should recycle because it takes a little bit over 1 million years for glass to start the bio-degradation process. Also, there are 500,000 trees that are cut down in America every week just for the Sunday paper. It is our planet so our job to take care of it.

All you have to do is when you are done with the paper is just put it in a separate basket. Then, when you are ready to take a trip to the store, you can take your recyclables to the large recycling bins near any local supermarket.
