Please recycle

Editor’s note: Today’s letters to the editor are from Southwest Junior High students learning about persuasive writing.

To the editor:

Not everyone is recycling, which is hurting our world. Recycling is a way to save our world. I’m sure that many people want to recycle, but they don’t know how. People do know that you can recycle paper, bottles and plastic. People can recycle at stores where there’s the big collection bins. You can also recycle tin, aluminum and cardboard. It doesn’t just have to be papers, glass or plastic for you to recycle. For kids you can recycle the same things at school, also for people who want to recycle at home you can participate in a curbside recycling service.

Recycling is what I think makes the earth better. Recycling goes to factories and then they can be made into more useful things like clothes and more paper, plastic, and bottles, instead of them becoming part of the landfill. The earth is like a human when it is dirty it gets sick, but when it’s nice and clean it gets healthier. Recycling is better for the earth so if you can recycle, please do so.
