Army interest
The bad economy is causing some young men to consider joining the Army.
“We’ve had some people come in and say they’ve recently been laid off,” said Sgt. 1st Class Michael Straw, an Army recruiter in Lawrence. “It’s tough to find a job these days.”
Most of those inquiring about the Army are men who are 23 to 25 years old, Straw said.
