Law enforcement report

Police are investigating a Lawrence High School student accused of bringing a knife to school.

School officials said the student, who is a junior, brought the weapon to school on Tuesday; however, no incident was reported with the knife.

The school resource officer filed a police report, and the school began taking disciplinary action against the boy.

According to district policy, a student can be expelled for bringing a weapon to school.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical reported no fire calls Wednesday.
