Dinner dedication
To the editor:
The organizing committee of the Lawrence Community Christmas Dinner wishes to sincerely thank the smaller-than-usual, but extremely dedicated group of volunteers who braved the “Great Christmas Eve/Day Snowstorm of ’09” to pull off a very successful dinner. Food prepared in the kitchen of the First United Methodist Church served over 200 persons at the church while around 600 meals were delivered throughout the community.
As always, our thanks go out to the amazing volunteers and to all those businesses who donated goods, services and funds, and to the individuals who donated meat, pies and funds.
