Stuck! An interview with Steve Balderson to preview his latest film

Stuck! is the new movie by Kansas filmmaker Steve Balderson.

This edition of A.D.D. takes a trip to Wamego, home to DIY cult filmmaker Steve Balderson. The Kansas native has directed multiple feature films, including the critically acclaimed “Firecracker” and the outrageous “Watch Out.” His latest project is the women in prison film “Stuck!,” starring Karen Black, Susan Traylor, Mink Stole, Jane Wiedlin and Starina Johnson. The black-and-white throwback to caged classics makes its Kansas premiere Monday at Liberty Hall.

Balderson sits down in his farmhouse to discuss the “in’s and out’s” of shooting an indie flick. He breaks down what it’s really like to work with a broad range of classic actresses. Tag along for Balderson’s personal tour of his hometown and sometime muse Wamego, and why keeping work close to home matters. It’s a cerebral journey full of warmth, shock and discovery waiting for your eardrums!
