Lawrence police on Tuesday said they could not release further details about Sunday night’s double shooting at a South Lawrence mobile home park that left two people hospitalized.

“We are waiting to talk to the individuals who were taken to the hospital,” Sgt. Bill Cory, police spokesman, said.

Officers found two people shot about 11:40 p.m. Sunday at the Easy Living Mobile Home Park, 3323 Iowa. The shooting victims were taken to a Kansas City-area hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Police have made no arrests in connection with the shooting, but said they questioned a person who may be directly involved.

I thought Galloway, was in jail. The shooting in Ottawa of a former witness against Galloway, in another robbery? ....and this POS is out? I can't believe it. Only in Lawrence.

The other person shot was Louie's older brother Donnie. I'm not for sure but that is what I heard.

Should have been a better shot, and got them in the head. Now the state will be paying their bill. ammunition is cheaper then medical bills, court cost, and housing criminals.

Wow. The whole family is going down the tubes. These guys are so jacked that three days later they still cannot speak? Regardless of jail time, these guys are already being punished.

I'm sure its a couple of rich boys with lots of insurance to pay for the helicopter rides and medical treatment.

After all people with cancer often die because they cant afford the treatment!

Once in custody the state, county, and city are responsible for the bills.

fallingwhilereading (Anonymous) says…

Once in custody the state, county, and city are responsible for the bills

And the last sentence of the article says that there have been no arrests made, so I'm guessing these two guys aren't in custody. If they are in bad shape, the cops know they won't be leaving the hospital any time soon, and they can keep an eye on them without having to take them into custody and pay the bills. Smart move, if that's what's going on.

And if these two really were trying a strongarm home invasion robbery with some kind of weapon, as the rumors have indicated, they got what they deserved.

mdfraz You can be held in custody without being arrested, and charges being filed. Thats why I say should have been a better shot, and got them in the head. Really it should be 2 in the chest, and one in the head. At my place it is WARNING TRUST PASSERS WILL BE SHOT SURVIVORS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN

mdfraz 5 years, 9 months ago

Oh I'm all for two to center mass and one to the head as well, and yes, you could be in custody without being arrested, but again, if these guys are in bad shape and the cops know where they will be for the foreseeable future, why place them in custody when you don't need to? Just wait until there's a chance they may bolt and then take control (assuming charges will be filed at all), but there's no need if they are still suffering from serious injuries.

We simply must do something about this outbreak of acute lead poisoning.

They are keeping mum because they are waiting to read the posts on both sites. If the perps aren't talking then they'll just decipher what is NOT being said and who it is not being said by. I feel for the families, but whoever said the pecan doesn't fall far from the tree is spot on.
