The Kansas men's basketball team will be a part of ESPN's College GameDay when the team travels to face Kansas State on Jan. 30 at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, ESPN announced Tuesday.

This will be the first time College GameDay has made a stop at Kansas State.

The college basketball version of the popular College GameDay football series, which consists of two one-hour shows each Saturday from a campus site, will start its sixth year this upcoming season.

The shows will air at 11 a.m. and also 6 p.m. on Jan. 30, with the game between KU and K-State tipping off at 7 p.m.

That's one way to ensure a sell out. College game day vs. KU, so all the KU alumni will buy the seats to go to Manhattan.

So ESPN is stooping to a middle of pack Big XII team to host a game day? That's sad. I could see KU at Texas, OU, or Misery but not K-State.

It's about the only way ESPN will show up in Manhattan....on KU's coat-tails

The game in Manhattan will be KU's toughest road game of the conference season, hands down. KSU will be better than OU, UT, or MU this season. If KU can win in Manhattan, it could be on the way to 16-0, which would be a big deal...even for KU. Should be a good game, as both teams should be better than they were two years ago.

Catbacker,

You really think KSU is going to be better than two years ago when they had Beasley and Walker?

The game in Mantattan will be KU's toughest road game within 90 miles of Lawrence. KSU will be better than Montana State, Baylor, or Florida International this season. If KU can win in Manhattan, it could be on the way to another boring bus ride home, which would not really be a big deal for KU. Should be a good game, as both teams should be better than they were the year Paco May played for K-State.

I don't care for K-state at all, but I do think they're likely a top 4 team in the league. They'll be better than Mizzou. Maybe on par with OU/A&M/OSU below UT and KU. They'll finish in the top 4 due to north/south unbalanced schedules.

Game day at Memorial Stadium or Arrowhead, that will be the sign we're waiting for.
