Washington ? Three letters of a four-letter word have been replaced with asterisks on a Kurt Cobain monument near a Washington state bridge, where the late Nirvana front-man hung out when he was growing up.

The donated granite monument in Aberdeen, at an unofficial park honoring Cobain, features quotes from his lyrics. One quote included an expletive.

The park is on a right of way shared by the city and resident Tori Kovach.

KBKW reports City Councilwoman Kathy Hoder and Kovach agreed to block out three letters of the offending word.
