Simply put, Friday night is Demolition Derby night! Easily the biggest draw of every year's Douglas County Fair — get there as early as possible if you hope to get a seat with a good view. On the more quiet, but equally male-charged, side of this evening is the Spencer's latest exhibit, "xy." It's a provocative (and sometimes sexually explicit) exploration of masculine sexuality. Full exhibit info here.

Film: (500) Days of Summer

(500) Days of Summer is this week's most appealing new movie, opening tonight at Liberty Hall. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel star in this engagingly breezy tale of a guy with a broken heart and the girl who broke it. Movie times and our view here...
