13 injured in accident at fish fry parade

? Authorities say a man on a four-wheeler lost control after having a seizure and plowed into a crowd along a Paris, Tenn., parade route, injuring 13 people — including an 18-month-old.

It happened Friday in Paris, 120 miles northwest of Nashville, at the annual “World’s Biggest Fish Fry.”

Mike Shankle, director of Emergency Medical Services for a local hospital, said the man was following a float when he lost control and slammed into the crowd.

Shankle said an 18-month-old girl was transferred to Vanderbilt’s children’s hospital in Nashville with serious injuries. Officials said most of the 13 were treated for minor injuries and released.
