County may finalize rules for subdivisions

Douglas County commissioners on Monday will consider finalizing changes to subdivision regulations concerning environmentally protected areas.

The planning department has studied the regulations and taken input about how to clarify definitions in the county about natural resources and environmentally sensitive areas that are to be protected or preserved in the county.

Commissioners originally discussed the item last week, but they asked for more information from the planning department. They also wanted to give one more opportunity for public comment.

The discussion will occur during the commission’s Monday meeting, which starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.
