Wet Street

In sulky grey water
along the curb
the raindrops form circles
that reflect the sky.
While on the asphalt street
sparkling drops frolic
in a wild silvery dance.

We humans often pave
and cover nature’s beauty,
but nature laughs
and gives us back
more than we deserve.
