KU opens exhibition space in KC
The School of Fine Arts at Kansas University will open the Red Door Art Gallery, the first exhibition space designed to showcase the diversity of work created by both current and former KU students and faculty. Located in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, the gallery will showcase monthlong exhibitions with opening receptions at the beginning of each month in conjunction with the First Friday’s art events. The Red Door Gallery’s initial exhibition, “Tools of the Trade,” is hosted by The Ministry of Sculpture, a student-run sculpture club at KU. The show opens at 6 p.m. today at The Next Door Art Gallery, 1735 Walnut Ave., Kansas City, Mo.
