A 38-year-old Lawrence man charged with one count of aggravated criminal sodomy had his first appearance Wednesday afternoon in Johnson County District Court.

The man was arrested and booked into Johnson County Jail in Olathe Wednesday morning, for a crime prosecutors allege happened Dec. 3, 2007.

The Johnson’s County Sheriff’s Office said the case is being handled by the Gardner Public Safety Department, where a spokeswoman wasn’t immediately available for comment.

The man’s being detained on a $100,000 bond, according to jail records. He has another appearance in court Oct. 23.
