Advance voting opens

Advance voting for the Nov. 4 general election begins today in Kansas.

In Douglas County, the clerk’s office will be open for voting at the courthouse, 1100 Mass., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week.

The clerk’s office will also be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, which are both Saturdays. The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 27 through Oct. 31. Advance voting closes at noon Nov. 3, by law.

The clerk’s office will also offer satellite advance voting sites in the county from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25 and Nov. 1. Sites are the Baldwin City Library, Eudora City Hall and Lecompton City Hall.

Eligible voters have until the end of the day Monday to register. The clerk’s office will be open until 7 p.m. Monday.
