Law enforcement report

¢ A 54-year-old Lecompton man reported the theft of $1,050 of items from the 1600 block of Cadet Avenue between noon and 4 p.m. Sept. 20. He reported as missing a Meade Starfinder telescope, valued at $1,000, and a wooden porch swing, valued at $50.

¢ A 21-year-old Lawrence woman reported $2,000 of criminal damage to her vehicle. The rear passenger door of her 2006 two-door Hyundai suffered damage. The incident happened between 1:20 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

¢ Lawrence police located a 7-year-old boy, Molique Wealthall, who was missing from Sunset Hill School, 901 Schwarz Road. The child was located at a friend’s house, the school district said. Molique’s mother, Kimberly Wealthall, went to the school to pick him up after what was supposed to be a 30-minute detention. He never showed up for his detention and did not get on a bus to an after-school program he attends while his mother is in class at Kansas University. Kimberly Wealthall said Molique went to the home of a friend and was found by a next-door neighbor. “My neighbor called and said that he had found him and I started screaming and crying because I was happy because every worst thought goes through your mind when you can’t find your kid, especially for two and a half hours,” she said. The boy was supposed to take a bus to a day care center after school. Police initially responded at 4:11 p.m.
