Agency staffers speak at conference
Three employees from Independence Inc. addressed a Kansas Center for Living conference, “Fuel the Independent Living Passion,” Nov. 12-13 in Wichita.
Speakers across the state and nationally known guests attended the conference and workshops.
Kelly Nightengale, housing specialist, presented a “Housing Advocacy 101” workshop. Ranita Wilks, independent living specialist, presented a session on deinstitutionalization. Stuart Jones, assistive technology specialist, discussed assistive technology and employment.
