Injury Accidents

¢ A 22-year-old South Fork, Penn., woman was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Saturday following a single-vehicle accident on the Kansas Turnpike east of Lawrence, according to a Turnpike Authority report. Jessica L. Ramus was driving a 2002 Pontiac around 10 a.m. at milepost 207.7 when the accident occurred, the report said. Ramus attempted to make an avoiding maneuver when the vehicle lost control and struck the concrete median barrier wall, the report said. She was wearing a seatbelt. She was treated and released from the hospital.

¢ Lawrence police and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical responded to a motorcycle injury accident at milepost 203 in the eastbound lane of Interstate 70, just east of the East Lawrence interchange.

The motorcyclist reportedly had severe injuries and was flown by air ambulance to a hospital. No condition on the man was available.

The accident occurred about 9:40 p.m.
