Romance in the air at public library

Romance novelist Kathleen Gilles Seidel will talk book clubs at 7 tonight at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.

The Lawrence native will speak on the topic of “To Book Club or Not to Book Club: How Book Club Membership Changes Reading Habits.”

After the talk, Gilles Seidel, who has written 14 books, will sign copies of her newest novel, “Keep Your Mouth Shut and Wear Beige,” which follows the pre-wedding travails of a mother of the groom, whose problems are sparked by her ex-husband’s girlfriend.

Those in attendance at the free event can register their book clubs to be eligible to win a book bag and a copy of “The Ultimate Book Club Organizer,” a notebook with pockets, forms and bookmarks to keep track of the club’s roster, reading list and meeting dates. The organizer also includes stickers to rate the books you have read.
