A Topeka woman pleaded no contest on Thursday to attempted aiding of a felon in connection with a nightclub shooting incident.

Sonda Washington, 33, will be sentenced June 19 by Douglas County District Court Judge Paula Martin.

Washington was accused of trying to help Carlos Jackson, a Topeka man who shot and wounded three people earlier this year outside Last Call, 729 N.H. Jackson has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

A case is still pending against a second woman, Sherise Spears, 20, of Topeka, who was charged with aiding a felon.
