Man pulled from house fire had been shot

? Police say a man pulled from a house fire in Kansas City, Kan., had been shot several times.

Police said detectives are investigating the death as a homicide. Firefighters pulled a man in his 50s from the house shortly after 10 a.m. Monday and called police after noticing injuries that were not related to the fire.

Police said the man had been shot multiple times.

Officer Tony Rice said an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. The identity of the man is not being released pending notification of relatives.

Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire.
