Free program to tackle advance care planning

Lawrence Memorial Hospital will offer a free advance care planning program March 25.

The program, “Understanding Advance Directives,” will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the hospital auditorium, 325 Maine.

The LMH Palliative Care Consult Team and Lawrence Area Coalition to Honor End-of-Life Choices will present the program. Main issues to be discussed are the necessity of advance care planning and a review of advance directives, such as durable power of attorney and a living will.

Participants will be able to complete advance care documents under the guidance of experts.

Those interested should register in advance by calling ConnectCare at 749-5800.
