Paris Hilton to appear on ‘My Name is Earl’

New York – NBC is pumping up the return of “My Name is Earl” with a guest shot by Paris Hilton.

Hilton appears as herself in a dream sequence. Earl has been knocked unconscious and various things from his life and imagination are bleeding into his fevered mind.

Her appearance will come in the one-hour episode on April 3 that is the first new material following the writers strike settlement, NBC said.

“When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren’t exactly sure who to go with for the role,” said Greg Garcia, the show’s executive producer. “But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton.”

Hilton has just finished work on the movie “Repo: The Genetic Opera.”

Anna Nicole’s toddler daughter made sole heir

Los Angeles – Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter will inherit her late mother’s estate.

A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday not only made 18-month-old Dannielynn Hope the sole heir, but also set up a trust in the girl’s name.

Her father, Larry Birkhead, and Smith’s executor, Howard K. Stern, will be co-trustees.

Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff granted a petition filed by Stern, who wanted to clarify Smith’s intentions toward her daughter. Smith drafted a will in 2001 – five years before the child was born – that left her estate to her then only child, Daniel. However, it said the assets in Daniel’s trust should be shared equally if she had future children.

Daniel was 20 when he died in 2006, three days after Dannielynn was born.

Dannielynn could inherit millions of dollars if the estate wins an ongoing court fight over a will by Smith’s wealthy second husband, J. Howard Marshall, that left much of his fortune to the model. His relatives have been fighting the will for years.

Music mogul will plead guilty in fraud case

Orlando, Fla. – The creator of the Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync has agreed to plead guilty to charges he laundered money and made false statements during a bankruptcy proceeding.

Lou Pearlman will appear in court Thursday, according to a 47-page plea agreement released Tuesday.

Federal prosecutors accuse Pearlman of lying to investors to raise millions of dollars for fake companies. They say the total loss to investors is estimated at more than $300 million.

The plea deal says Pearlman will help investigators develop cases and testify against others who helped in his schemes.

Federal prosecutors still plan to seek a significant prison sentence for Pearlman.
