Festival promotes women’s issues

Lunafest, a national film festival to promote women’s issues, comes to Liberty Hall on Sunday.

The festival highlights women as leaders with nine short films by women filmmakers. Proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Fund, Women’s Transitional Care Services Inc., GaDuGi Safe Center, and a scholarship fund for women in the Kansas University Theatre & Film department.

The event is set for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Hall, 642 Mass. Tickets, which cost $10 for regular admission and $8 for students and seniors, are available at Liberty Hall. For information on the films, visit www.lunafest.org.
