Person taken into custody in KCK following a high speed chase that began in Lawrence

A person was taken into custody about 11:30 a.m. in Kansas City, Kan., after leading Lawrence police and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers on a high speed chase.

According to Lawrence police, officers attempted to pull over the driver of a white Chevrolet Caprice reportedly for a traffic stop, but the driver sped past. Driving in excess of 100 mph, the driver traveled into Wyandotte County where Kansas Highway Patrol took over the pursuit. The person was taken into custody. No further details are available at this time.

Well, at least the Caprice got to feel like it was a police interceptor, if only for a little while.

We need more apartments, much more, because, there are a lot of criminals living in Topeka and Kansas City, that want to move here to take advantage of the inflated crack market as well as the high population of single mothers who are smokers.

Why was he heading back to KCK so fast for? Who drives caprice classics these days anyway. Either 80 yr olds or thugs I would assume.
