Lang was a major defensive asset for the Firebirds. As the starting central defender, she helped her team shut down its opponents' offense. Her many tackles and strong physical presence on the field earned her first-team all-Central Region and first-team all-state honors for the season.

Hannah Carlson
Free State High, Soph.

Carlson had a terrific season for the Firebirds in 2008. She was key in creating scoring opportunities, racking up five goals and six assists as Free State's second leading scorer. A powerful force on the field, Carlson was named to the second-team all-Sunflower League in addition to first-team all-Central Region and second-team all-state honors.

Leah Williams,

Williams has been a strong force for Free State throughout her high school career, earning all-state honors for the past three seasons. Despite being sidelined by a wrist injury halfway through the season, Williams led the Firebirds in scoring with six goals and four assists.
