Kymm Hughes, a Topeka artist specializing in fused glass, will speak at the Lawrence Art Guild’s monthly meeting on Monday.

Hughes has worked with many different art mediums but fell in love with the fused glass process while attending Washburn University, where she now teaches the fused glass class. She will share the fused glass process and give a brief overview about the importance of the compatibility of fusible glass. She also will give a quick demonstration on glass cutting and go over the tools needed for this medium.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., with the artist forum starting at 7 p.m., at Lawrence Public Library’s auditorium, 707 Vt.
