Filming of an upcoming movie about Lawrence crop artist Stan Herd is set for a farm at the northern edge of Lawrence, and Douglas County commissioners will meet Tuesday to consider granting a special permit to allow for the activity.

The meeting is set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.

John Pendleton has applied for the permit, which would allow a production company to do filming and other related activities at his farm just outside North Lawrence. A permit is required when more than 10 employees will be working on site.
