Israel closes crossings after mortar attack

? The military says Israel has closed its crossings with the Gaza Strip once again in response to Palestinian mortar fire.

A mortar shell was fired Monday at the Karni cargo crossing with Gaza, in violation of a June 19 truce between Israel and Palestinian militants in the seaside territory.

The military says all of Israel’s crossings with Gaza were closed today in response. No one was hurt in the attack.

Under the truce deal, Palestinian militants were to halt their assaults on southern Israel, and Israel was to ease its crushing blockade on Gaza. But the attacks have continued and Israel has closed the passages repeatedly.
