Kansas Highway 10 near De Soto was reopened shortly after 5:30 Monday night after being closed for about an hour by an injury accident.
Master Deputy Tom Erickson, a sheriff spokesman, said one person has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but no additional information was available.
Drivers headed east on K-10 had to exit on Lexington Road, travel south to 95th Street and east to Kill Creek Road. After traveling north on Kill Creek, drivers could re-enter eastbound K-10.

You can't go south to 95th Street.......detour will need to go NORTH to 95th Steet to Kill Creek and then SOUTH back to 10.

Evalert,I checked the map. 95th Street is south of K10 between Lexington and Kill Creek. Are you thinking of 95th Street in Overland Park perhaps?Jonathan KealingOnline editor

I was just out there. There were about 3 fire trucks and two cop cars. One of the fire trucks was on the other side of the side rail at the Desoto exit, and the side rail was dented in like maybe a car flipped over the edge or something. Didn't seem too bad though when we passed by the first time around 1 or so, a cop was walking to the other side of the highway so assuming he was beginning the shut down process maybe? When we were coming back about 2:40 I didn't notice any road blocking yet.Now I'm even more curious as to what happened. Hope it wasn't too bad.

All these hours later and no update on the injured party? Just curious. Hope the person will be okay.
