Student is attacked on KU’s West Campus

A Kansas University student was attacked by a man who attempted to rob him Monday night on West Campus.

About 7:15 p.m., a male student was walking south of Pioneer Cemetery at Irving Hill Road and Constant Avenue when he was tackled from behind by another man, according to KU Public Safety.

The victim told his attacker that he didn’t have any money, and the suspect struck him twice before running away.

The suspect was described by the victim as a 6-foot-2 black male with a slender build. He wore a light gray hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
