Attempted robbery reported on KU’s West Campus

A Kansas University student was attacked by a man who attempted to rob him Monday night on West Campus.

About 7:15 p.m. a male student was walking south of Pioneer Cemetery at Irving Hill Road and Constant Avenue when he was tackled from behind by another man, according to the KU Department of Public Safety.

The victim told his attacker that he didn’t have any money and the suspect struck him twice before running away.

The suspect was described by the victim a being black male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a slender build. He wore a light, gray hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
