A senior at Lawrence High School has won the annual Stephen Paul Wunsch Young Artist Competition organized by the Lawrence Chamber Orchestra. Stephanie Jian, a pianist, will perform the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major during a concert at 2 p.m. April 20 at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H. The runner-up, violinist Ji-Yeon Lee, a ninth-grader at Southwest Junior High School, also will perform at the concert. Other division winners were Demi Renault, voice, and JoAnn Doll and Timmia Hearn Feldman, winds/brass/percussion. The auditions took place Sunday.
