Christina Aguilera gives birth to son

Los Angeles – Christina Aguilera has given birth to a boy, the pop singer announced on her Web site Sunday.

“Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman,” the brief message said. “He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy.”

The baby was born Saturday night and weighs 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Liron, according to baby-naming Web sites, is a Hebrew name meaning “my song.”

Aguilera, 27, and Bratman married in 2005.

‘The Bucket List’ hauls in most bucks

Los Angeles – Score one for the geezers.

“The Bucket List,” the tale of two cancer patients who decide to travel the world before they die, bested movies about treasure hunting, bumbling crooks and pirates to top the weekend box office, according to studio estimates Sunday.

The movie, which stars 70-year-old actors Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, brought in $19.5 million at more than 2,900 theaters. It initially had opened on Christmas Day in limited release.

The film was closely followed by the comedy “First Sunday,” featuring Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan as hapless petty criminals who scheme to rob a church but end up being rewarded with a lesson about second chances. The Sony Screen Gems film banked $19 million at 2,200 theaters.

Rounding out the top 10, according to Media By Numbers LLC:
