Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A car ignition and a car battery were among items reported stolen by a 48-year-old Lawrence man to Lawrence police on Wednesday. The crime occurred between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of East 19th Street. The total estimated loss is $2,010.

¢ A Johnny’s Tavern employee reported to Lawrence police that the restaurant at 401 N. Second St. was criminally damaged about 1:40 a.m. Thursday. A window and two custom neon signs were damaged. The total estimated loss is $1,400.

¢ A 32-year-old Grant, Neb., woman made several forgery and theft reports to Lawrence police on Thursday, Dec. 6. From Nov. 28 through Dec. 2, about $1,126 in items were purchased by check from Lawrence grocery stores such as Hy-Vee, 4000 W. Sixth St., Checkers, 2300 La., and Dillons, 3000 W. Sixth St.; a Kwik Shop, 1420 Kasold Drive, Old Navy, 3240 Iowa, and the Outback Steakhouse in Topeka.

¢ A 30-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of several items to Lawrence police on Thursday. Items reported stolen include 100 $12 CDs, miscellaneous fishing tackle and a Cabela’s fly-fishing vest. The total estimated loss is $1,600. The crime occurred between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 6:45 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Illinois.
