Dr. Phil: Britney Spears released, needs help

Los Angeles – Television’s “Dr. Phil” McGraw said Britney Spears was released from a hospital Saturday but still needs psychological help, the syndicated programs “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” reported in a news release.

The troubled pop star was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by paramedics Thursday night after police were called to her home because of a dispute involving the two sons she had with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

“My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention,” McGraw told the programs.

“She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her,” he said.

McGraw planned to talk more about Spears on his daytime talk show this week, the news release said.

Police: ‘Bounty Hunter’ associate caught naked

Honolulu – A sidekick of TV bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman turned himself in to authorities Friday after a shopping center security guard reported seeing him naked in his pickup truck, performing a lewd act, police said.

But Tim Chapman’s lawyer insists his client spilled juice on himself and was just changing clothes Thursday night.

The guard told police that he recognized Chapman from Duane Chapman’s show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” and that he was performing an unspecified lewd act. Duane Chapman and Tim Chapman are not related.

Tim Chapman’s attorney, Brook Hart, said it was all a misunderstanding.

“It was simply a man who wet his pants with orange juice inadvertently and was changing them, doing nothing wrong at all and believing he had sufficient privacy to do it,” Hart said.

Montgomery, 32, plays FBI agent Samantha Spade on “Without a Trace.”

Hawn: Aspen filled with aggressive paparazzi

Aspen, Colo. – Goldie Hawn says she can’t go into Aspen from her nearby ranch because of aggressive paparazzi who pursue her car and stake out her home.

“They’ve come into our little town and they really have done their job: They’ve shooed us out,” the 62-year-old actress told The Aspen Times.

Hawn and longtime companion Kurt Russell have been part-time Aspen-area residents for 25 years. In the past, she said, she could wander Aspen freely because the town attracted few celebrity photographers, and they were discreet.

“You find yourself running and dodging and jumping in your car,” she said.
