The Lawrence Art Guild’s 47th Art in the Park is planned for May 4 in South Park, with a March 15 deadline for entries.

The juried show will feature fine art and fine craft by more than 140 artists.

Daylong family activities will include live music, fine arts performances, food and children’s activities. The Lawrence Humane Society also will be on hand with pets waiting for adoption.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a backup rain date set for May 11.
