Once again, thanks and congratulations are due to Bill Lacy, director of the Dole Institute of Politics, Jonathan Earle, associate director for programming, and their many associates for the superior programs presented at the Institute.
Last week many of the nation’s outstanding and most recognized political campaign managers, consultants, pollsters and media who cover political campaigns gathered at the Dole Institute to dissect the 2008 U.S. presidential race.
The two-day exercise was stimulating and educational and should have been required attendance for those interested in elections, campaigning, fundraising, political strategy, developing volunteer organizations and all the other details of managing and running a national or even state or local campaign.
Lacy, who assumed his Dole position in 2004, has done an excellent job of running the Institute. He and his associates have initiated a series of programs and speakers who merit and receive national attention.
Last week’s “Post Election Conference 2008” was a winner in every respect. Such programs build the national reputation of the Dole Institute, reflect credit on Kansas University and provide a valuable and unique resource for KU faculty, students and residents of the area.
Once again, congratulations to Lacy, Earle and their associates.
