A film about a Lawrence man won the Best Documentary category in the annual Jubilee Film Festival in Kansas City. “Henry D. Remple: Finding Hope in Troubled Times” by Linda Haskins follows the life story of Remple, who was born in 1908 in Ukraine and whose family immigrated to the United States to escape the Russian Revolution. Remple then dedicated his life to the mental health profession. The awards were presened during a ceremony on Sunday.
