‘Hawk House’ benefit scheduled tonight

Kansas University’s Habitat chapter will stage “Lawrence Act! Speak! Build!” from 8 p.m. to midnight today at Abe & Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St.

The cover charge is $5, and all proceeds will benefit the 2009 Habitat “Hawk House.”

Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win a Mass Street Music electric guitar, a KU-signed basketball, Kief’s merchandise and more. Local artists will include Joe Garvey, The Sporadic Thought and Russian Discussion.
