Haskell invites public to exercise event

Haskell Indian Nations University invites the community in an exercise event at 8 a.m. Saturdayat Haskell Stadium.

It is part of the college’s free, 10-month, communitywide program called “Healthier Haskell.” The program’s goal is for participants to collectively walk “around the world” – or 24,901 miles.

Saturday’s event begins at 8 a.m. with registration of new participants. The program will include a guest speaker from the American Heart Association and check-in for participants, 8:15 a.m.-8:30 a.m.; recognition and stretching, 8:30 a.m.-8:45 a.m.; and a 2.1-mile run or walk on campus, 8:50 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.
