Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 38-year-old Lawrence man and employee of the Kansas City Star reported to Lawrence police that a newspaper vending machine worth $1,500 was stolen from 3241 Iowa between 3:30 a.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

¢ A 47-year-old Lawrence woman reported $1,000 worth of damages to a Ford Focus on Friday. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of West 31st Street.

Condition reports

¢ Andrew Craig, 28, of Kansas City, is in stable condition at Kansas University Hospital.

He was severely injured when his car went off the road and crashed into a tree Sept. 1. The accident occurred about 2 p.m. on U.S. Highway 56 about a mile and a half west of Baldwin Junction.
