Cynthia Dennis, author of a political memoir, “The Sunflower Sinner,” will sign books at 2 p.m. Oct. 21 at Borders, 700 N.H.

Dennis, a KU alumna and award-winning journalist, describes life inside a scandalized political family. Her book, which is set in Kansas, deals with abortion, bribery and a statewide political scandal.
