Ann Hagedorn, author of “Savage Peace: Hope and Fear in America, 1919,” will give a book signing at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lawrence Public Library auditorium, 707 Vt.

Hagedorn lived in Lawrence for many years and has written another history, “Beyond the River,” about the Underground Railroad.

The event is free and open to the public.
