Two women driving in Lawrence overnight had their vehicle windows shattered.

The first incident happened around 12:30 this morning, as a 28-year-old woman was driving her pick-up truck in the 1400 block of Connecticut.

The woman told police her rear windshield suddenly shattered, cutting her in the back of the head.

She was treated for her injuries at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Less than two hours later, a 41-year-old Eudora woman and her son were driving near Sixth and Massachusetts streets, when they heard a loud bang.

Police say the rear driver’s side window of her van shattered.

Police don’t know what caused the damage, and say it’s too early to say if the incidents are related.
